Main leagues
Each EuroLeague Fantasy Challenge team is automatically registered in three leagues:
General league: includes all the fantasy teams registered in EuroLeague Fantasy Challenge.
Favorite Team league: includes all the EuroLeague Fantasy Challenge teams that have chosen the same favorite basketball team.
Country league: includes all the teams belonging to the same nation
And from this season, all users can participate in the new Trophy Cup competition.
What it is the Trophy Cup. It's special head-to-head (H2H) competition that runs alongside the Main rankings. It’s created after the season has started and it will begin on Round 6, including the top 128,000 teams in the Global ranking.
Groups phase
The first phase of the Trophy Cup is a a group phase, where the first 128,000 teams of the Global ranking are randomly drawn into 8,000 groups of 16. A full round-robin schedule is generated at creation. From Round 6 to Round 20, every round is one H2H fixture; the team with more fantasy points in that round wins the game. Group standings are ordered by W–L record, then by fantasy points accumulated in Trophy Cup rounds.
At the end of Round 20, the top two from each group plus the 384 best third-placed teams across all groups (ranked by W–L, then Trophy-Cup points) qualify for Knockout (total 16,384 teams). All others are eliminated from the Cup.
Knockout phase
There is one pause round after Groups. Knockout then starts on Round 22 and proceeds as single-elimination with random pairings each Round (no fixed bracket). In every tie, whoever scores more fantasy points in that Round advances. If still tied, the team with the better overall Global Championship ranking advances (the platform’s standard tie-break applies and, if needed, implicitly considers registration date).
And this goes on until the final game in which two teams will compete for the win!
